![]() ![]() ![]() For awhile it was going dirt cheap as part of a humble-bundle package so you may be able to pick up a deal on it. If you're looking to drop some cash there is some software around like "Spriter" which is supposed to be quite impressive and can do regular sprites as well as vector based graphics. despite having it for ages now I've generally only used it for its filter and auto-tracing features to add texture / effects or to make swanky lineart from crappy inking work. ![]() I can't give much useful information about it sadly. If you're looking to do vector graphics instead of just sprite graphics, then you could try checking out Inkscape which is an entirely free vector art program. GIMP I would highly recommend checking out as its entirely free and relatively easy to learn, especially if you're just doing simple sprites. Much like Daynar above, I also tend to make primarily horrid "programmer art" placeholder graphics as I work.įor regular sprites I tend to use a combination of Paint / Microsoft Paint, which comes with every installation of windows, and GIMP for its additional features. ![]()
